Superb, privately owned, "ski-to-the-door" traditional Alpine apartment with all year round appeal. Furnishing is all in character with the traditional alpine build. Beautiful view over the village and Giffre valley beyond from the east facing balcony.

The floor plan shows the 2 bedroom accommodation with roomy, east facing balcony. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and bedroom 2 has bunk beds so 4 can easily be accommodated. A bed settee (two separate single beds) in the lounge adds flexibility and increase capacity to 6. Prices are inclusive of electricity.

We provide duvets (king size in bed 1) and pillows but you will need to provide your own duvet covers, pillow cases, towels etc. You are also required to clean the apartment upon departure. Cleaning materials are provided and it takes no more than 90 minutes.

Kitchen includes oven with grill, ceramic hob, extractor and dishwasher. Lounge area includes an LCD TV, DVD player and iPod docking station. Dining table with 4 chairs plus two stools. THE SKIING!

You have access to the third largest ski area in the French Alps. The area is divided into the Massif and the Grand Massif from a lift pass perspective.

Massif – this covers all runs and lifts in Morillon, Les Carroz, Samoens and Sixt. It also covers the lifts required to get to Flaine but once there you will need to return on the Grand Vans chair. If you wish to ski further in Flaine you will need a Grand Massif pass. Please note that to Ski Sixt using a Massif pass you will need to take the ski bus from Morillon village.

Grand Massif – this covers all skiing areas in the resorts covered by the Massif pass plus Flaine. If conditions at lower levels are poor then usually they will be much better in Flaine. With the Grand Massif pass you can also ski to Flaine and then onto Sixt (via the long Cascades run – please note this run is beautiful but does have some flat sections requiring some poling). Cascades does not open too often as the last part of the run down into Sixt is south facing and conditions can deteriorate so if it is open it is worth giving it a go and then skiing in Sixt. You will however need to return via the ski bus from Sixt to either Samoens (taking the express gondola up to Samoens 1600 and skiing back to Morillon 1100) or Morillon village.

Our favourite piste in Morillon 1100 is the Marvel. This is a long windy green piste starting at the top of the Sairon chair and returning to 1100. At the end of the day if you stop at marker post 3 on the Marvel you will find a track leading back down to apartment block C. If conditions allow you can ski right back to the apartment door down this track/road but if the snow plough has been up this could have been cleared and gritted so take care. At worst you will have a short down hill walk.

The resort has a supermarket, patisserie, bar and several restaurants.

In the summer Morillon 1100 does not lose its attraction. The Les Esserts ski-lift is open so you can take your mountain bike (available to hire) to the top for an exhilarating ride back down. The area lends itself to long (or short) walks in beautiful scenery and for the more active there is a nearby lake for swimming and fishing, with an adventure park nearby to keep the kids happy. In the valley there is also white water rafting on the River Giffre.

Take a lift up for a traditional lunch at the goat farm - a must!

Excellent golf can be enjoyed in the area as well as paragliding, rock climbing and many other activites.
